ARD radio feature
The ARD radio feature (proper spelling: the ARD radio feature ) is a series of ARD , the Germany-wide radio features presented. The series started on January 27, 2010.
concept
The result of an investigative research on the respective topic is prepared in the almost one-hour feature . The motto of the series is "... hear what's behind it!". Every year nine ARD radio features are produced by seven participating state broadcasters . MDR and RBB are not included.
WDR is in charge of the project . The station's radio director at the time, Wolfgang Schmitz , said on the occasion of the start of the series that the feature was “a solitaire in public radio. It stands for quality, a great tradition and the contemporary handling of topics ”. The ARD had already established at the radio Tatort , which is also broadcast throughout the ARD , "that such a brand is able to get people excited about the radio".
The opening track was Cybercrime - Tatort Internet by Kai Laufen. The feature Right Terror: Fatally Underestimated , which was produced by SWR in 2012 and deals with the development of the right-wing extremist terror cell National Socialist Underground (NSU), was researched by four authors and, due to the explosive nature of the subject, was broadcast by MDR and RBB.
The ARD radio features can be subscribed to as a podcast and will be available for download together with the manuscript for one year after the initial broadcast . During special events already are depublizierte podcast files again made briefly available online.
