Walter Filz (born August 18, 1959 in Cologne ) is a German author and journalist .

Life

Walter Filz has made a name for himself as an author and cultural journalist for radio and television since 1983 . He received his doctorate in 1988 from the University of Cologne with a thesis on elements of fairy tales in German literature of the 1970s.

In 1991 he was awarded the Prix ​​Futura in the Feature category for his WDR production on the aestheticization of cat food in the late 20th century . In 1999 he won the Audience Award for Loudspeakers at the Berlin Academy of the Arts for the radio play Resonanz Rosa. A woman hears more .
