Antje Vowinckel
Antje Vowinckel (born December 14, 1964 in Hagen ) is a radio playmaker , sound artist , director , musician and performer .
Life
Vowinckel grew up in Bielefeld and studied literature and music (flute and piano). She did her doctorate on collages in radio plays. The development of a radiophonic art and completed a traineeship at Südwestrundfunk . She then worked there as a dramaturge for a year. Since 1994 she has been writing and producing her own radio plays, radio features and directing . She also creates sound compositions and installations and gives performances. She works for ARD, ZKM, Sophiensäle, Issue Project Room and others. Occasionally she works as a juror, curator and lecturer.
Vowinckel has won numerous international competitions and grants. In 2020 she was nominated for the German Music Author Award , category sound art .
Antje Vowinckel lives in Berlin.
