Sound composition

Under sound composition is understood in the narrow sense, the compositional design of the structure of sounds and Tongemischen with electronic means. In a broader sense, this also includes various forms of sound surface composition that work with conventional instruments. The best-known representatives of sound composition are Karlheinz Stockhausen , György Ligeti , Friedrich Cerha and Krzysztof Penderecki .

Sound compositions were initially closely related to serial music , from which they later broke away aleatorically or post-serial .
