A price determination out. It researches such diverse facets of the topic as real hair, adopted children or criminal organ trafficking worldwide . This resulted in the 2014 documentary by Peter Scharf of the same name. In 2012, his Suhrkamp book When my mother couldn't find her kitchen caused a stir . On the value of living with dementia . Klare wrote a “touching, informative and, despite her own perplexity, helpful book,” said reviewer Annette Langer in the Spiegel . In it, Klare not only conducts 13 interviews with experts, but also makes it possible to reflect on the mother's earlier life with transcripts of old tape recordings. He had his first theater premiere in January 2015 with the dialogue You shouldn't praise the forest in front of the rabbit at the Karlsruhe State Theater. “Clear,” wrote Tobias Becker in Spiegel, “it's about the drama that it means when a person walks - and you have to watch people walk.” In March 2016, Ullstein Verlag came home: A search for home out. Klare walked 600 kilometers back to his homeland of Hohenlimburg in 31 days. The resulting book gives essayistic impressions, conversations and reflections of the author on the subject of "home". In 2017, his monologue Melken , staged by Hasko Weber, was invited to the Author Theater Days at the Deutsches Theater Berlin .

The author lives in Berlin with his wife and two daughters . His brother is the musician and composer Jan Klare .
