Evangelical Book Prize
The Evangelical Book Prize is a literary prize that is awarded annually, alternating between novels, non-fiction, biographies, books for young people or volumes of poetry. Since 2011 the tender is no longer genre-bound; however, the award-winning work will continue to be specified in relation to the genre. The prize has been awarded by the German Association of Evangelical Libraries since 1979 .
This award, which is based solely on suggestions from readers, honors books “for which Christians can stand up”. With the support of the Evangelical Credit Cooperative , the reader's award is endowed with 5000 euros (as of 2020).
