Helene Kynast
Helene Kynast (* 1942 in Litzmannstadt ) is a German author for children and young people.
Life
Born in Poland to a German family, but fled to the West before the end of the war, Helene Kynast grew up in the Sauerland . After spending two years on a farm in Iceland and some time in Paris, she returned to Germany and studied German and philosophy in Düsseldorf . Her first book, Alles Bolero , received an award. Sunshine (2002), the story of a terminally ill with leukemia young man who wants to experience freedom again, was also awarded prizes.
