Saint-Jean-des-Ollières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Estandeuil in the north, Saint-Dier-d'Auvergne in the east and northeast, Auzelles in the east and southeast, Brousse in the south, Sugères in the southwest, Iserteaux in the west and Fayet-le- Château to the west.
