Sugères is a French municipality with 605 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Issoire and the Canton of Brassac-les-Mines (until 2015: Canton of Sauxillanges ). The inhabitants are called Sugèriens .

Sugères is about 32 kilometers south-east of Clermont-Ferrand . Sugères is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Isserteaux in the north and northwest, Saint-Jean-des-Ollières in the north and northeast, Brousse in the east, Condat-lès-Montboissier in the southeast, Égliseneuve-des-Liards in the south, Saint-Quentin-sur- Sauxillanges in the southwest and Manglieu in the west.
