Ceyssat is a French municipality with 693 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). Ceyssat belongs to the Arrondissement of Issoire and the canton of Orcines (until 2015 Rochefort-Montagne ).

Ceyssat is about fifteen kilometers west-southwest of Clermont-Ferrand . Ceyssat is surrounded by the neighboring communities Mazaye in the north and west, Saint-Ours-les-Roches in the north, Orcines in the east, Saint-Genès-Champanelle in the southeast, Nébouzat in the south and Olby in the west and southwest.
