Solignat is about thirty kilometers south-southeast of Clermont-Ferrand . Solignat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Meilhaud in the north and northwest, Perrier in the north and northeast, Issoire in the northeast, Bergonne in the east and southeast, Antoingt in the south and Vodable in the west.
