La Chapelle-Marcousse is located about nineteen kilometers southwest of Issoire on the eastern slope of the Massif Central . La Chapelle-Marcousse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Dauzat-sur-Vodable in the north, Saint-Hérent in the east and northeast, Rentières in the south and southeast, Mazoires in the south and southwest and Roche-Charles-la-Mayrand in the west.
