Chidrac is located about 28 kilometers south-southeast of Clermont-Ferrand on the Couze Pavin in Limagne . Chidrac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Champeix in the north and north-west, Neschers in the north, Pardines in the east, Meilhaud in the south and south-east, Saint-Cirgues-sur-Couze in the south and south-west and Saint-Vincent in the west and south-west.
