Vodable is a French commune in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes in the Puy-de-Dôme in the Arrondissement Issoire in the canton of Le Sancy .
The municipality covers 11.68 square kilometers, lies at 552 to 946 meters above sea level and has 196 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).
history
The site was the headquarters of the Dauphine d'Auvergne from the 12th to 15th centuries.

- Ruins of the castle of the Dauphine d'Auvergne above the village on the basalt cone (built in the 11th century, converted into a fortress in 1450 and destroyed in 1633)
