The river Eau Mère , also called Astrou here, runs along the northern boundary of the municipality . Saint-Quentin-sur-Sauxillanges is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Égliseneuve-des-Liards in the north, Condat-lès-Montboissier in the east and northeast, Saint-Genès-la-Tourette in the southeast, Le Vernet-Chaméane with Chaméane in the south, and Saint -Étienne-sur-Usson in the south and south-west and Sauxillanges in the west and north-west.
