geography
The village is located on a volcanic hill overlooking the Val d'Allier . The neighboring municipalities are: Saint-Jean-en-Val , Saint-Rémy-de-Chargnat , Sauxillanges and Varennes-sur-Usson .
history
The fortress Usson was from 1585 to 1605 forced the whereabouts of Margaret of Valois , called La Reine Margot , the first wife of Henry IV. Richelieu was the imposing plant later grind .
