Arlempdes is a French municipality with 138 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It is classified as one of the Plus beaux villages de France ( Most Beautiful Villages in France ).

The village of Arlempdes is just thirty kilometers from the source in the Loire Valley . The ruins of the castle stand on a rock of volcanic origin, from which one has a wide view of the river.

The landscape is dominated by basalt columns .

Arlempdes is a community of 1,300 hectares spread over a dozen villages and hamlets. There are few people in the village itself. It's a small village with old houses.

Arlempdes is seven kilometers from the 88 national road.
