Lantriac is a French commune with 1,928 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Le Puy-en-Velay and the canton of Mézenc (until 2015: canton of Saint-Julien-Chapteuil ). The inhabitants are called Lantriacois .

Lantriac is in the Velay countryside . The river Gagne , a tributary of the Loire, borders in the north and northeast . Lantriac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Germain-Laprade in the north and north-west, Saint-Julien-Chapteuil in the east and north-east, Laussonne in the south-east, Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille in the south, Coubon in the west and south-west and Arsac-en-Velay in the West.
