Lavoûte-sur-Loire is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Vincent in the north, Beaulieu in the east and north-east, Malrevers in the south-east, Chaspinhac in the south and south-east, Polignac in the south and south-west, Blanzac in the south-west and Saint-Paulien in the west and north-west.
