Landos is a French municipality with 891 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Le Puy-en-Velay and the canton Velay volcanique (until 2015 Pradelles ).

Landos is located about nineteen kilometers south-southwest of Le Puy-en-Velay in the Massif Central . Landos is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cayres in the north and northwest, Costaros in the north, Le Brignon in the northeast, Arlempdes in the east and northeast, Barges in the east, Saint-Paul-de-Tartas in the south and southeast, Saint-Étienne-du-Vigan in the south, Rauret in the south and southwest, Saint-Haon in the west and Le Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas in the northwest.
Route nationale 88 runs along the western edge of the municipality .
