Loudes is a French municipality with 918 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Le Puy-en-Velay and the canton of Saint-Paulien ( canton Loudes until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Loudois .

geography

Loudes is about 15 kilometers west-northwest of Le Puy-en-Velay . Loudes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lissac in the north, Saint-Paulien in the north-east, Borne in the east, Saint-Vidal in the south-east, Chaspuzac in the south, Saint-Jean-de-Nay in the west and south-west and Vazeilles-Limandre in the west and north-west.

Le Puy-Loudes airfield is located in the municipal area .
