Salettes is a French municipality with 136 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Le Puy-en-Velay and the canton of Mézenc . The inhabitants are called Salettois .

Salettes is about 20 kilometers south-southeast of Le Puy-en-Velay . Salettes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Martin-de-Fugères and Alleyrac in the north, Présailles in the east and north-east, Issarlès in the east, Lafarre in the south, Vielprat in the south-west, Arlempdes in the west and Goudet in the north-west.
