Les Estables is a French municipality with 333 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ); it belongs to the arrondissement Le Puy-en-Velay and the canton of Mézenc (until 2015 canton of Fay-sur-Lignon ). The inhabitants are called Establains .

Les Estables is located about 28 kilometers east-southeast of Le Puy-en-Velay . Les Estables is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Moudeyres in the north and north-west, Saint-Front in the north, Chaudeyrolles in the north-east, Les Vastres in the east, Saint-Clément in the south-east, Chaudeyrolles in the south, Saint-Front in the west and south-west and Champclause in the north-west.
The Le Mézenc ski region is located in the municipality.
