Saint-Jean-de-Nay is located about 18 kilometers west-northwest of Le Puy-en-Velay . Saint-Jean-de-Nay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vazeilles-Limandre in the north, Loudes in the northeast, Chaspuzac in the east, Vergezac in the southeast, Saint-Privat-d'Allier and Le Vernet in the south, and Siaugues-Saint-Romain in the west and north-west and Vissac-Auteyrac in the north-west.
