Vissac-Auteyrac is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Georges-d'Aurac in the north and northwest, Saint-Eugénie-de-Villeneuve in the north, Fix-Saint-Geneys in the northeast, Vazeilles-Limandre in the east, Saint-Jean-de- Nay in the southeast, Siaugues-Sainte-Marie in the south, Saint-Arcons-d'Allier in the southwest and Mazeyrat-d'Allier in the west.
