Saint-Vert is a French commune of 112 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It is located in the Arrondissement of Brioude and in the Canton of Sainte-Florine (until 2015: Canton of Auzon ). The inhabitants are called Vergongheonnais .

Saint-Vert is located about 57 kilometers south-southeast of Clermont-Ferrand on the banks of the Doulon River and its tributary Vignon . Saint-Vert is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fayet-Ronaye in the north, Doranges in the northeast, Laval-sur-Doulon in the south and east, Champagnac-le-Vieux in the south and west and Chassignolles in the north-west.
