La Besseyre-Saint-Mary ( Occitan : La Becèira ) is a French commune of 100 people (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Brioude and is part of the canton Gorges de l'Allier-Gévaudan (until 2015 Pinols ).

La Besseyre-Saint-Mary is about 37 kilometers west-southwest of Le Puy-en-Velay . The municipality is crossed by the Desges river. La Besseyre-Saint-Mary is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Auvers in the north and north-west, Desges in the north-east, Venteuges in the east, Saugues in the south and south-east and Paulhac-en-Margeride in the west and south-west.
