Salzuit ( Occitan identical) is a French municipality with 362 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) is located in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Brioude and the canton Pays de Lafayette (until 2015 Paulhaguet ).

Salzuit is about 35 kilometers northwest of Le Puy-en-Velay . Salzuit is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chomette in the north and north-west, Paulhaguet in the east and north-east, Couteuges in the south and Saint-Privat-du-Dragon in the west and south-west.
