Cerzat is a place and a French community with 209 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Brioude and the canton Pays de Lafayette (until 2015 canton Lavoûte-Chilhac ). The inhabitants are called Cerzatois .

location

Cerzat is about 34 kilometers west-northwest of Le Puy-en-Velay . The Allier limits the community in the south. Cerzat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Privat-du-Dragon in the north and north-west, Couteuges in the north and north-east, Mazeyrat-d'Allier in the east and south-east, Aubazat in the south and Chilhac in the west.
