Blassac is about 36 kilometers west-northwest of Le Puy-en-Velay on the Allier . Blassac is surrounded by the neighboring communities Villeneuve-d'Allier in the north, Saint-Privat-du-Dragon in the northeast, Lavoûte-Chilhac in the south and east and Ally in the west.
