Esplantas-Vazeilles is a French municipality with 126 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Brioude , to the community association Les Rives du Haut Allier and to the cantons of Gorges de l'Allier-Gévaudan (until 2015 Saugues ).

Esplantas-Vazeilles is about 37 kilometers southwest of Le Puy-en-Velay . Esplantas-Vazeilles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saugues in the north, Saint-Préjet-d'Allier in the east, Thoras in the south, Chanaleilles in the south-west and Grèzes in the west and north-west.

On January 1, 2016, the previously independent municipalities Esplantas and Vazeilles-près-Saugues were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Esplantas-Vazeilles .
