Montclard is about 35 kilometers northwest of Le Puy-en-Velay . Montclard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Didier-sur-Doulon and Berbezit in the north, Connangles in the northeast, Saint-Pal-de-Senouire in the east, Collat in the south and southwest, Saint-Préjet-Armandon in the south and southwest and Vals- le-Chastel in the west.
