Saint-Julien-d'Ance is located about 27 kilometers north-northeast of Le Puy-en-Velay in the natural landscape of Emblavès (also spelled Emblavez ) on the Ance . The neighboring municipalities of Saint-Julien-d'Ance are Usson-en-Forez in the north, Saint-Pal-de-Chalencon in the north and northeast, Boisset in the east, Saint-André-de-Chalencon in the south and southeast, Saint-Pierre -du-Champ in the south and south-west and Saint-Georges-Lagricol in the west and south-west.
