Le Pertuis ( Occitan : Lo Pertús ) is a French municipality with 455 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement Le Puy-en-Velay and the canton Emblavez-et-Meygal (until 2015: canton Saint-Julien-Chapteuil ). The inhabitants are called Pertuisiens .

le Pertuis is located about 15 kilometers east-northeast of Le Puy-en-Velay in the Velay landscape . Le Pertuis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Julien-du-Pinet in the north, Bessamorel in the northeast, Yssingeaux in the east and northeast, Queyrières in the southeast, Saint-Hostien in the south and Rosières in the west and northwest.

The national route 88 runs through the municipality .
