Saint-Julien-du-Pinet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Retournac in the north, Beaux in the northeast, Yssingeaux in the east, Bessamorel in the east and southeast, Le Pertuis in the south, Rosières in the west and southwest and Mézères in the west and northwest.
