Les Villettes ( Occitan : Las Vialetas ) is a French municipality with 1423 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Administratively it belongs to the arrondissement of Yssingeaux and is part of the canton of Monistrol-sur-Loire . The inhabitants are called San Palou (nes) .
geography
Les Villettes is a mountain village in the Velay , a landscape in the French Massif Central . The western boundary of the municipality is formed by the Lignon du Velay river , the southern by the Dunières . Les Villettes is surrounded by the neighboring communities Monistrol-sur-Loire in the north, Sainte-Sigolène in the east, Grazac in the south and Saint-Maurice-de-Lignon in the west.
The village of Blassac is in the municipality .
