The Lignon du Velay is a river in France that runs in the Haute-Loire department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises to the northwest of Mont Mézenc , on the municipal boundary of Chaudeyrolles and Saint-Front . The Lignon de Velay generally drains north, crosses the Velay landscape and, after 85 kilometers , flows into the Loire as a right tributary at Pont de Lignon , in the municipality of Saint-Maurice-de-Lignon .
