geography
Beaux is located in the Velay , a landscape in the French Massif Central , about 23 kilometers northeast of Le Puy-en-Velay . The Loire limits the municipality to the north. Beaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beauzac in the north, Saint-Maurice-de-Lignon in the east and northeast, Yssingeaux in the south and east, Saint-Julien-du-Pinet in the southwest and Retournac in the west.
