Saint-Romain-Lachalm is a French commune of the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes with 1,093 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017). Administratively it is assigned to the canton of Boutières and the arrondissement of Yssingeaux .

geography

The municipality is located around seven kilometers southeast of Saint-Didier-en-Velay , in the Velay natural landscape , at the foot of Mont Pilat , in the easternmost part of Auvergne and borders the Loire department . The municipality is crossed by the Semène river.
