Solignac-sous-Roche is about 25 kilometers north-northeast of Le Puy-en-Velay on the border of the natural landscapes Emblavès (also spelled Emblavez ) and Forez . The Ance limits the municipality in the northeast. The neighboring municipalities of Solignac-sous-Roche are Saint-André-de-Chalencon in the north and north-west, Tiranges in the north and north-east, Retournac in the south and east and Roche-en-Régnier in the west and south-west.
