The biotope at Ackermannbogen is a 1.3 hectare green area in the Munich district of Schwabing-West (BiotopNr: M-0117). It is located in the residential area at Ackermannbogen on the site of the former Stetten barracks and was created from the poorly used areas of the helicopter landing pad at that time .

Flora and fauna

It is one of the last holdings of the old heath of the Oberwiesenfeld . On the green area there are over 100 proven plant species, 18 of which are classified as important to the city, including sprouting rock carnation , panicle knapweed , Swiss moss fern and tufted carnation . The 50 to 100-strong population of the highly endangered Idas silver spot blues is of national importance . The grass verge is a refuge for ash gray ants , wild rabbits and foxes . The area is maintained by the State Association for Bird Protection .

Many of the plants are very sensitive to footsteps, so the biotope is fenced and only accessible as part of a guided tour.
