Le Mas-de-Tence is a French municipality with 168 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Yssingeaux and the canton of Boutières (until 2015: canton Tence ). The inhabitants are called Chenereillois .

Le Mas-de-Tence is about 39 kilometers east-northeast of Le Puy-en-Velay . Le Mas-de-Tence is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montregard in the north, Saint-André-en-Vivarais in the east, Devesset in the south and Tence in the west.
