The Canton of Tence was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Yssingeaux in the Haute-Loire and in the region of Auvergne ; its main town was Tence . His representative in the Conseil Régional for the years 2011 to 2015 was Jacqueline Decultis ( EELV ).

The canton was in the east of the Haute-Loire department. To the west and north it bordered the canton of Yssingeaux , to the north also to the canton of Montfaucon-en-Velay , to the east and south-east to the Ardèche department and to the south-west to the canton of Fay-sur-Lignon . Its area is between 749 m in Saint-Jeures and 1283 m in Mazet-Saint-Voy above sea ​​level .
