The canton of Sainte-Sigolène was until 2015 a French canton in the arrondissement of Yssingeaux in the Haute-Loire department and in the Auvergne region ; its main town was Sainte-Sigolène , Yves Braye ( DVD ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Department from 2008 to 2015 . The canton was 69.53 km² and had (2006) 8,842 inhabitants, which corresponded to a population density of 116 inhabitants per km².
