The Canton of Le Puy-en-Velay-Ouest was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Le Puy-en-Velay in the Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne in France ; its main town was Le Puy-en-Velay . Jacques Volle ( UMP ) was the representative in the Conseil General for the years 2004 to 2009 . He was followed by Christiane Mosnier (also UMP).

The canton was in the center of the Haute-Loire department. In the west it bordered the canton Loudes , in the north on the canton Le Puy-en-Velay-Nord , in the east on the canton Le Puy-en-Velay-Est and in the south on the cantons Le Puy-en-Velay-Sud -Est and Le Puy-en-Velay-Sud-Ouest . It was between 600 m in Le Puy-en-Velay and 897 m in Ceyssac above sea level .
