The Canton Loudes was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Le Puy-en-Velay in the Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne .

history

The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "District of Le Puy".

With the founding of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Le Puy.

The canton bordered the canton Allègre in the north, the canton Saint-Paulien in the northeast, and the cantons Le Puy-en-Velay-Nord , Le Puy-en-Velay-Ouest and Le Puy-en-Velay-Sud in the east -Ouest , to the south to the cantons of Solignac-sur-Loire , Cayres and Saugues and to the west to the canton of Langeac in the Arrondissement of Brioude .
