The District of Saint-Paulien is a French canton in the Arrondissement Le Puy-en-Velay in the Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhone-Alpes in France ; its capital is Saint-Paulien . Since 1979 Jean Boyer ( UDI - NC ) has been his representative in the General Council of the Department .
geography
The canton is located in the center of the Haute-Loire department. In the southwest it borders on the canton Loudes , in the northwest on the canton Allègre , in the northeast and east on the canton Vorey and in the southeast and south on the canton Le Puy-en-Velay-Nord . Its area is between 528 m in Saint-Vincent and 1098 m in Saint-Geneys-près-Saint-Paulien above sea level .

Until the reorganization, the canton of Saint-Paulien consisted of the seven municipalities: Blanzac , Borne , Lavoûte-sur-Loire , Lissac , Saint-Geneys-près-Saint-Paulien , Saint-Paulien and Saint-Vincent .
