Wilhelm Johann Peter Schwinn (born May 23, 1897 in Ober-Kainsbach ; † October 18, 1967 there ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Wilhelm Schwinn was born as the son of the innkeeper Christian Wilhelm Schwinn (1864-1913) and his wife Anna Margaretha Schwinn († 1940), née Rausch. After attending primary school in Ober-Kainsbach, Schwinn was taught at the agricultural winter school in Michelstadt in the Odenwald . From 1916 to 1917 he took part in the First World War on foot with the 2nd Guard Infantry Regiment . He then belonged to the Guard News Department I for a year. After the war he lived as a farmer and innkeeper in Ober-Kainsbach.

In the mid-1920s Schwinn joined the NSDAP and in 1929 took over the office of district leader in Erbach .

In 1929 Schwinn took over his first public office when he became a member of the district council of Erbach and the provincial parliament of Starkenburg . Two years later, in 1931, he also became a member of the Hessian state parliament . After leaving this body in the autumn of 1933, Schwinn moved to the National Socialist Reichstag , where he represented constituency 33 (Hesse) from November 1933 until the end of Nazi rule in spring 1945.

Schwinn and his wife Elisabetha, née Kunkel, continued to run his farm and inn well beyond the post-war period, only to lease it out later and finally to give it up.
