Blanzac is a French municipality with 402 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Le Puy-en-Velay and the canton of Saint-Paulien .

Blanzac is about eight kilometers north-northwest of Le Puy-en-Velay . Blanzac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Paulien in the north and west, Lavoûte-sur-Loire in the east and north-east and Polignac in the south.
