Lukas Schöfl (born February 11, 2001 ) is an Austrian soccer player .

Career

Schöfl began his career at SC Columbia Floridsdorf . For the 2016/17 season he switched to the academy of Wolfsberger AC . In June 2017 he made his debut for the amateurs of the WAC in the national league when he came on as a substitute for Moritz Leitner on match day 30 of that season against SV Spittal / Drau in the 71st minute. At the end of the season he rose to the regional league with the WAC amateurs .

He made his debut in this in August 2017 when he was brought into play for Benjamin Mulahalilović in the 87th minute against LASK Juniors OÖ on the third matchday of the 2017/18 season . In November 2017 he was against the SKN St. Pölten for the first time in the squad of professionals of the WAC, but was not used. In April 2018 he scored his first goal in the regional league in a 2-0 win against Union St. Florian .

For the 2018/19 season, Schöfl was a permanent member of the Carinthian professional squad. He finally made his Bundesliga debut in May 2019 when he came on as a substitute for Christopher Wernitznig in the 84th minute against SKN St. Pölten on matchday 30 of that season .

National team

Schöfl made his debut against Finland for the Austrian U-17 selection in August 2017 . By March 2018 he had played twelve games for them and scored one goal. In September 2018 he made his first appearance for the U-18 team against Romania . In November 2019 he played against Switzerland for the U-19 team for the first time .
